Help me to help others!

We plan to participate in the OI Foundation's Blue Jeans for Better Bones Program and need your support! This is in honor of one of our students who has this condition.

Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) is a rare and complex genetic order of the collagen that is often characterized by fragile bones. Other characteristics include brittle teeth, spinal curves, muscle weakness, respiratory problems, hearing loss, and cardiac issues. OI is highly variable, ranging from a mild form with a few fractures to a form that is lethal at birth, and affects an estimated 50,000 people in the United States. Individuals with OI may experience hundreds of fractures in a lifetime.

Please help us to provide answers to families, fund research, and maintain a network of support groups for families dealing with the daily realities of OI by making a gift and even joining us for this fun event.

You can improve lives! To support the important work of the OI Foundation, simply click on the "Donate Now" link at the top of this page.

If you prefer to mail in your donation: Make all checks payable to the OI Foundation. Then, please send your check directly to me as the event participant so that I can send it in to the OI Foundation.

I truly appreciate your time, consideration and generosity!
