It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Dr. Francis Glorieux, MD, PhD.

Dr. Glorieux served as Chair of the OI Foundation’s Medical Advisory Council (MAC) from 2009 through 2023, and continued to serve as an active and valued member of the MAC until his passing. He was also a Principal Investigator for the Brittle Bone Disorders Consortium site in Montreal, emeritus director of research at Shriners Children’s Canada, and emeritus professor of surgery, pediatrics, and human genetics at McGill University.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Dr. Glorieux’s family, colleagues, and the entire OI community. His vision, compassion, and contributions will be remembered always, and his legacy will continue to shape the future of OI care and research. He will be truly missed.
