Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!

We plan to participate in the OI Foundation's Unbreakable Spirit® Walk-n-Wheel on July 10, 2020 and need your support!

50,000 people in the United States are affected by osteogenesis imperfecta (OI), a rare genetic disease that makes bones fragile and easily broken. A person living with OI may experience hundreds of painful fractures over a lifetime. Infants with OI are often born with multiple broken bones. In severe cases of OI, a cough can break an adult’s rib. Each person with OI is unique, with different fracture rates, a varied range of related health issues and his or her own path through life. Yet there is one thing every person living with OI has in common… an Unbreakable Spirit®! As most of you know, our daughter, Mary Alice Birdwhistell has shown everyone that unbreakable spirit her entire life.  She has suffered through over 30 fractures ( we stopped counting when she was 16) and has persevered with the help of doctors, physical therapists, family, friends, and God's amazing healing.  As we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the OI Foundation, we personally celebrate that 30 years ago we attended our first OIF Conference in Pittsburg where we found an organization that gave us HOPE!  We are so thankful for the education and support we've  received, but most of all, we are thankful for the multitude of friends we have made and will always cherish those friendships.

Please help us to provide answers to families, fund research, and maintain a network of support groups for families dealing with the daily realities of OI by making a gift and even joining us for this fun event.

Please help us support OI Foundation by making a donation to our team. The process is easy and secure. Don't forget to share this page on Facebook and Twitter!

Thank you for supporting this important cause!
