Celebrate the OIF’s 50th Anniversary at the OIF National Conference on July 9-12, 2020!
More than 600 members of the OI community will come together for three days of specialized sessions on managing OI, free medical consultations, and fun social events for attendees of all ages! The entire conference will take place at the Hilton Omaha in Omaha, NE.
THURSDAY July 9, 2020
The National Unbreakable Spirit® Walk-n-Wheel will kick-off the 2020 OIF National Conference on Thursday, July 9th! Beginning at the conference hotel, participants will walk-n-wheel a short route through Omaha to the Lewis & Clark landing on the banks of the Missouri River where we will celebrate with a finish line party.
FRIDAY JULY 10- SUNDAY JULY 12, 2020
The first official program day of OIF National Conference is Friday, July 10th, beginning with medical consultations (by appointment) throughout the morning and early afternoon. Conference participants who have a new diagnosis or need an OI refresher session are welcome to attend the hour-long introductory lecture on the Basics of OI. The first day of OIF National Conference also features the much-anticipated opening session, and the renowned OIF Talent Show.
The format for Saturday, July 11th and Sunday, July 12th begins with one general plenary session for all attendees. Participants will then spend the rest of the morning in one of two large group sessions, learning about either Managing Pediatric Care or Issues in Managing Adult OI Care. Each day will consist of several breakout sessions in the afternoon, covering topics such as Cardiopulmonary Health, Treatments for Hearing Loss, Rodding Surgeries, Nutrition, Traveling, Understanding OI Types, Respiratory Issues in OI, Independent Living Strategies, and more!
At every National Conference, the OIF offers extra presentations and interactive spaces for specialized groups in the community such as youth and young adults with OI, women with OI, parents of children with OI and others. We will continue to promote and facilitate these productive and informative discussions for Conference participants.
